Each new "Cottage" always seems to take on a life of its own.  

This one started with a Gingerbread House.

I have been experimenting with clay recently, trying to get the designs "down" to 1:12 scale.  

Like Goldi Locks in the Three Bears, I finally found one that was just right.

Of course, there had to be all sorts of assorted breads and pastries.

Just a touch of Holiday.

A warm lighted oven to cook in.....

and from there, the kitchen in the Bakery came to life.

Our little baker does more than bake and sell. 

They needed a cozy "getaway" place to retire.

I  love lots of lights in my cottages and hate being tied to the wall with plugs.

Consequently, all the illumination you see is battery-powered.

With a light dusting of snow we'll leave the Village Bakery for now.
